Why ESG and DEI Principles Are Misguided for Public Safety and Defense Sectors
In recent years, the push for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles has gained momentum across various sectors. This article argues that prioritizing ESG and DEI over the essential goals of product quality, ethical practices, and community support can compromise the effectiveness and reliability of services and equipment crucial for law enforcement, military personnel, and first responders. Instead, a renewed commitment to traditional values of integrity, duty, and excellence is imperative for the success and trustworthiness of these sectors.
